Expansion
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was elected MLC unopposed. A certificate for this has also been issued by the Bihar Assembly Secretariat. The certificate of election of Nitish Kumar has been issued by Returning Officer Raj Kumar for the Legislative Council elections. While talking to the media after leaving the Legislative Council, he said that on the cabinet expansion, CM Nitish Kumar will finalize the names of the ministers today i.e. by Thursday evening. After that the cabinet will be expanded soon.
The posts of 27 ministers are still vacant
In fact, before the cabinet expansion in Bihar, seat distribution of Lok Sabha elections was also an issue in deciding the names of leaders for Rajya Sabha and Legislative Council. Now after the format of seat sharing within the NDA was finalized on Wednesday, it is being said that the cabinet expansion will take place on Thursday evening. Bihar cabinet can have 36 members. Of these, nine including CM are already there, hence there is vacancy for 27 posts.
All 11 candidates were elected
Let us tell you that there was no chance of voting for the 11 vacant seats of Bihar Legislative Council. All 11 candidates including Nitish Kumar, Rabri Devi were elected. In this, six candidates from NDA and five from Grand Alliance were elected unopposed. Today, certificates of victory were given to all these elected candidates in the Legislative Council. Apart from CM Nitish Kumar, Mangal Pandey, Anamika Singh, Lal Mohan Gupta Tanti, Santosh Kumar Suman, Khalid Anwar, Abdulbari Siddiqui, Shashi Yadav, Urmila Thakur, Syed Faisal Ali came to the House and collected their certificates. Bhola Yadav had come to collect the certificate of Rabri Devi.
